As far as "social news" websites, Newsvine is by far the most elegant I've seen. Where Digg is popular and driven by a crazed fan base, Reddit is simple and easy to load on your browser, NewVine is the best looking, slickest and most professional Web 2.0 of all the news/bookmarking sites. Check it out.

I like the "Newsvine live" feature on the right hand side that scrolls the incoming stories and I love the interface design. You can close panels, arrange them how you want and totally customize the interface. I submitted a few stories to Newsvine recently and I did get some hits, not as many as Reddit or Digg, but it was still worth the half a minute it took to submit.
I'd recommend this one to anybody. Actually, Paul, if you're reading this, Newsvine is where I saw the Barry Bonds leaving San Francisco story first. |

| Is it true you get paid for writing articles on Newsvine? Somebody on Sitepoint forum said I should make an account on Newsvine and write articles there instead of making a blog. I want to do somethign about fashion. Do you think think the person who told me the info was right? I'm going to start doing something this week. I just need some direction. |
